My Dying Bride est un groupe de doom/death metal britannique originaire de Cleckheaton, Angleterre.

Le death/doom (ou "doom-death") est un mélange des éléments du death metal, en particulier le grunt associé avec le genre, et de la lenteur du doom metal. Beaucoup considèrent Cathedral comme le pionnier du sous-genre avec son album Forest of Equilibrium. Cela dit, comme indiqué plus haut dans dans l'article, Winter, un an auparavant, avait aussi mixé death metal et doom. Généralement, les trois groupes reconnus pour avoir fait évoluer le sous-genre sont My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, et Anathema (sur leurs deux premiers albums, Serenades et The Silent Enigma).

For Lies I Sire is the tenth studio album by British doom metal pioneers My Dying Bride, released on March 23, 2009.[1] and April 21, 2009 in the United States [2].It is the first album without keyboardist Sarah Stanton since she joined My Dying Bride in 2004 for their "Songs of Darkness, Words of Light" album. The album was recorded during September 2008 in Manchester's Futureworks Studio.

Backyard Babies are a Swedish punk rock band, from Nässjö, Sweden. The band was formed in 1987, over the years they have released five studio albums and have won a Swedish Grammy. The band remains together, though they are now located in Stockholm, Sweden.

They are largely attributed with bringing sleaze rock to Scandinavia and Sweden, a scene which has spawned several bands that continues to grow today. They are a big influence on the current upsurge in sleaze rock in the UK unsigned scene, with Disarm calling them a big influence. Their single "Minus Celsius" appears as a playable bonus track in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.


Backyard Babies is the sixth studio album by the Swedish rock band Backyard Babies. The album was released on August 13, 2008, and debuted on the UK rock chart at number 29.
